Train 36T or W6T?… You decide….

As soon as I turned on the scanner this morning I heard this train setting off the defect detectors in Glenburn (M.P. 662) and had to make a fast decision…. Which way was he going (one of the dilemmas of Sunbury Line defect detectors).

After waiting for ten minutes with no call outs to the signals @ Dalton (M.P. 661), I surmised that it must be moving south. So I set up, he passed by and that was that. Another train successfully recorded…. Except that I never got a Train no. on this one so after judging its consist (with the NJ Transit commuter coaches on the end), it’s a safe bet to assume that it’s Train 36T to Allentown.

Except for two more things. 36T is rarely seen through here in daylight and the consist is mostly made up of LPG tankers, something you normally see on Extra freights so was this Train 36T or W6T?… You decide….
