The Reading Heritage Unit: On Home Rails For The First Time In A Long Time

It’s been 4 years since Norfolk Southern‘s famed Heritage fleet was placed into active duty service across the system. Since then they, and their special interest brethren, have racked up tens of thousands of miles across America. That said, it’s sometimes a long time before the units see their own home rails.

In another couple of hours she would head out to Birmingham, Alabama on Train 15T and from there to Atlanta and Spencer, NC on 154. When will she return home again?… Only time and fortune will tell….
