The former British Columbia Railway, now known as BC Rail (reporting mark BCOL, BCIT) and as the Pacific Great Eastern Railway (PGE) prior to 1972, was a railway that operated in the Canadian province of British Columbia up until 2004 when the provincial government leased its operations to the Canadian National Railway for 99 years.
