Falls Road Railroad (FRR)

The Falls Road Railroad (FRR) is a Class 3 short line railroad owned by Genesee Valley Transportation. It operates 41.69 miles of track, acquired from Conrail, known as the Falls Road Branch in Niagara, Orleans, and Monroe counties in upstate New York. There’s a small yard and engine house in Lockport, NY where the railroad interchanges with the CSX. Like its Delaware-Lackawanna, Depew, Lancaster & Western, Lowville & Beaver River and Mohawk, Adirondack & Northern brethren, the railroad is known for its use of ALCO locomotives.
