Chattahoochee Industrial Railroad (CIRR)
The Chattahoochee Industrial Railroad is a shortline in southern Georgia that connects Cedar Springs, Hilton and Saffold over a 15 mile route that interconnects with CSX and NS.
CIRR primarily serves the Georgia-Pacific Cedar Springs mill, a large containerboard facility. It was previously a Georgia Pacific subsidiary until 2004, when G-P sold it and other railroad facilities to the Genesee & Wyoming Inc.. In 2002, the CIRR hauled nearly 20,000 carloads of mostly paper pulp and coal.
